Spiritual and Mental……….. Last Two Wheel Spokes (day 16/365)

10 12 2009

To finish up in “Dare to Win” Mark Victor Hansen cover the topics of spirituality and mentality.

He has learned that “God is rich. He created the universe and all that’s in it. God is infinite. You have God in you, so you have infinite creative possibilities within you.” Spiritual awakening is different for all of us, but for most of us, there will be a high-consciousness experience somewhere in our journey.

A few techniques to help us in this area are:
#1. Say an original hand holding grace over each meal.
#2. Seek to find your spiritual purpose in life.
#3. Develop a spiritual understanding of life and death.
#4. Look for minister/priest/etc to facilitate your spiritual growth.
#5. Do spiritual things. (unselfish, loving things)

Part of strengthening our mind is to find the purpose we are living for. Complete the statement – My purpose in life is to ———- people? Then ask which people? and then – to help them do what?

Knowing why you are here gives direction. Next step is to fill our brains with positive uplifting information to help us achieve our purpose. Reading books and listening to inspirational CD’s develops our brain in the right way to achieve and fulfill our destiny.
Next step is to find a mentor and/or a group of other positive uplifting people who will encourage you as you do them. Share the good stuff and motivate each other.

Bottom line of the book is YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE BY CHANGING THE WAY YOU THINK ABOUT LIFE.

Are you willing to change your thinking to positive, creative and uplifting?

Health and Relationships (day 15/365)

9 12 2009

Today we are going to cover two more chapters from “Dare to Win”, by Mark Victor Hansen.

Health is one of the spokes in our balance wheel and Hansen encourages us to strive not only to have good health but to have an overall fantastic well-being. Obviously that involves good health which in turn positively affects our mental faculties, our relationships, our spiritual awareness, our financial success.

We are encouraged to exercise a minimum of three times per week to maintain a healthy body reducing the likelihood of serious illness.

In conjunction with the exercise we are advised to
1/ Decrease surplus foods at meals
2/ Don’t snack. It weakens discipline.
3/ If you do snack, avoid high calories.
4/ Avoid socialising in eating areas.
5/ Avoid TV commercials promoting food.
6/ Avoid sugar, white flour and salt.
7/ Eat slowly. In 20 minutes stomach registers full.
8/ Visualise fitness many times a day.

Also, to maintain a healthy growth in our outlook, we need to persist at meeting and talking with many new people who offer us their knowledge, encouragement, enthusiasm, and contacts leading us to bigger and better achievements.

What kinds of people have you dreamed of meeting? Are they movie stars? politicians? sports stars? authors? philanthropists?

Make a list of people from different occupations that you would like to meet. (with a list of questions you would like to ask them) See just what your subconscious will do to make it happen.

Prosperity (day14/365)

8 12 2009

Now that we have learned about the Balance Wheel of Life and how not to get bogged down in one area of life, we are going to learn how to achieve prosperity according to Mark Victor Hansen in his book “Dare to Win”.

Ideas for our own prosperity are all around us. We just have to be attracting them. We need to daily set our goals, visualise them, say affirmations accepting the results in the present tense, give it up to God to provide, and be ready.

Hansen gives 12 Steps toward prosperity.

#1 Don’t focus on the problem. ie.Think poverty – attract poverty.
#2 Think prosperous thoughts. Think freedom – attract freedom.
#3 Don’t believe in hard times. Boom time attitude – Boom time results.
#4 Allow prosperity to find you. Be open to prosperity – opportunities descend on us.
#5 My prosperity makes everyone better off. Abundance available – enables giving.
#6 Get past “stuckedness”. Work through the problems – freedom in the breakthrough.
#7 Don’t quit, no matter what. Bamboo roots grow 5 years before the stalk grows ready to harvest.
#8 Promise a lot, and deliver even more. Little extras make the difference.
#9 Get in the right career. Where do you do your best work?
#10 Five rules for making money.
1/ Earn the money. Use leverage. Money/Ideas/Time/People.
2/ Save the money. Compound interest.
3/ Increase net worth.
4/ Tithe. Universal spiritual principle.
5/ Be a philanthropist. Giving back to the universe.
#11 Go for King of the Mountain. Dream big!
#12 Be assertive. Do what you have to do. Be creative.

Stay tuned for health and relationship information tomorrow.

Balance Wheel (day 13/365)

7 12 2009

From reading “Dare To Win”, by Mark Victor Hansen, we have already been encouraged to set goals for good things, to visualise them and to affirm them to our subconscious mind.

What then happens if we have one area of our life out of control, that is taking all our energy?

We need to put the area into perspective and give energy to all sections of our life. Remember, they are Physical, Spiritual, Financial, Mental, Relational.

To work all sections successfully, Hansen states we all need to feel a healthy love for ourselves and others. If we are not getting enough love, then we should start giving some. An ideal place is a convalescent or old peoples home.

The way we can attract love is…..
to hug,
write a love note,
cuddle,
say “I love you”,
speak with love,
act with love,
smile.

Why does the love thing keep coming up? Maybe it’s more important than we realise. Til tomorrow, go and love someone.

Visualisation, Affirmation (day12/365)

6 12 2009

As we continue the journey with Mark Victor Hansen in “Dare to Win” we take the next step in the goal setting process.

It is one thing to set a goal; quite another to truly believe that you can achieve it. So what we have to do is a little mind work to help our subconscious.

Let’s assume we have decided to choose hope, fruitfulness, success rather than despair, failure, hopelessness. We are on the right track because belief in our choice determines our actions.

If we can visualise what we want, we CAN achieve it. It doesn’t cost any more to dream big than it does to dream small, so go for it. God gave us our imagination to use. He also gave us many promises for hope, future, abundance etc.

So take some time out regularly to SEE your future. Picture it as you want it. I can tell you from experience that the more you look to the promises of your future, the more blessings happen today.

The next step in the process is to affirm what you are attracting from the future into the now. Write down ” I am so happy, grateful and blessed that I am (I have)………”. Say these affirmations regularly.

By creating a positive NOW statement (as if you have already achieved it) your subconscious does what it has to to let you have it now.

Reviewing your goals, visualising them and affirming them regularly (I suggest EVERY day) keeps your purpose in focus.

Turn Fears, Problems, Excuses into Goals, Opportunities, Purpose (day 11/365)

5 12 2009

Mark Victor Hansen in Dare to Win” dives right into the midst of our problems. He states fear is the reason we settle for unwanted situations in our life. If we would confront the fears, then we could move on.

When facing problems, we have the opportunity to solve them, if we would only knock the fear out of our way. Have you considered that it may be our purpose to solve a problem and then help others to solve the same problem?

We really have no excuse for not trying to overcome. If Edison took thousands of attempts to invent the lightbulb, then surely I can persevere. The only failure is if I do not try.

It is important that we set goals so our conscious mind knows WHAT it is we are trying to achieve. Our subconscious mind then works out HOW to achieve it.

If we could really be, do and have anything we wanted, what would your choices be? Have you written down your “bucket list” yet? It should include all the things you want to achieve before you leave this earth; places to see, people to meet, charities to support, achievements to attain; who you want to be, what you want to do.

Can you find your purpose?
